In my opinion, the best change--and certainly most important--was the new thoughts arising. During this period, the scientific method was introduced. Suddenly people realized that the Earth wasn't the center of the solar system; the Sun was. New science sprouted, and people started breaking from their intellectual shells. Things were examined beyond religion, and suddenly everything wasn't so simple.
There were inarguably fundamental changes, growths, and births in the scientific field (astronomy and physics took a huge leap in modern direction). But not only was it the science that was impacted, but the human mind. Reason replaced religion for the first time, and scientists found out that there was still so much more mankind had not yet discovered.
I agree with Tammy about reason replacing religion.
What I believe is the most important change made during the Scientific Revolution is the new scientific developments. Such as the scientific method, Copernicus' Heliocentric Theory being changed, and Calculus being developed which lead to the creation of other things later in history.
I agree with Chris, the scientific revolution led the path to new discoveries. We are more advanced because we work with what is already in place. New things could be discovered by using the new discoveries. -Chelsea McMurry
I agree with chris also because things always lead from cause to affect like the fact that we had electricity discovered it let to frigerators and cell phones and so on
I also agree with Tami about religion and with Chris and Chelsea on scientific developments. Without the certain developments during that time, today would be 100% different. The people and the ideas they had, made science and mathematics what it is today.
To me the most important change of the scientific revolution was the bringing of the Enlightenment. Without the Enlightenment we would not have our great leaders such as Fredrick William 1 of Prussia or Catherine the Great of Russia.
I agree with Tamara for the new ideas is what started the Revolution
I agree with steven. The enlightenment movement was growing strong. this aslo questions previous theories. the new things that were arising made a conflict the religions. but with that comes new beliefs that form our society. these things lead to new inventions therefore benefiting us
The enlightment was the most important because it made people even realize what science was. I agree with doug it did cause lots of conflict with religion. It made people question their believes.
I agree with tammy and Steven, the scientific revolutuion gave people the chance to break from that chain that was keeping them limited... Being enlightened gave people the ideas that they no longer had or needed limits to what human beings could do. Now, they felt they were the higher power.
I agree that most of the new scientific thoughts lead to some pretty good new discoveries and developements. I also say that the thinkings that people had develpoed and made a strong CHANGE over time.
All in all i agree with Tammy about the canges and the birth of new things, and i agree with Chris about the new scientific methods and how they changed history.
The important change , like Cedric said, was the way people were now thinking. Before the Scientific Revolution people based the reasons for everything as being part of their religion. The Scientific Revolution gave the people more answers than just religion. I agree with both Tammy and Chris.
I definitely agree with Tami. I think the new inventions drastically changed society in a good way. For example, instead of sticking to the status quo, people challenged preexisting thoughts and found better solutions.
The Scientific Revolution changed things in many ways but to me the most important was that people now knew some what about the Earth. Also, it uncovered many mysteries about the way life if and why it happens.
I agree with Doug and Danaysiah about it causing confusion with the religions because people didn't know what to believe.
I agree with Tami that the Scientific Revolution caused people to use reason instead of religion. For once, religion wasn't the answer to everything. As Doug and Danaysiah said, this new perspective clashed with religion and made people question their beliefs. By going outside of religion, scientist were able to discovwe new things which led to even more innovations.
I think that the most important change is the use of knowledge without any remnant of religion in it. Though the people who thought that way were hated and some were even praised. Since most of the peasants of that time were not going to church, like the peasants did in the past, but my point is that everyone is finding out things without believing in the supernatural aspects of some religions
i agree with doug , i believe the enlightenment had a lot to do with it. People were confused and they really didnt know what to believe with all the new theories and different ideas on religion.
I agree with Tami and tangie on how the theories advanced and how they thought they were higher beings.
I think one of the biggest changes was that they took a lot more risks. And the only way to figure new things out is by taking chances. It was also good that they started believing ideas based on reasoning and fact instead of religous influences.
I think enlightenment is one of the most important changes because people learned from other sources besides the church. Inductive Reasoning also helped people learn a lot more.
I think the most important change the Scientific Revolution brought on the increase of litterate people. More people started to read and learn math and science.
I agree with steven about the Enlightenment. That is what pretty much started a lot of the world's advances. If people hadn't had new ideas and ways of thinking during the enlightenment, including the leaders of several countries, we might still be living with humanist ideas and medieval circumstances. But thanks to the events of the Enlightenment people learned to read and study and discovered new things.
I think Steven, Tami, and Chris's reasons all make sense. through the enlightenment changes happened, such as the people who came up with the scientific rev. the things they found out then lead what we have today to solve problems. there is also now more than one chose for people to in what to make of things with religion and reason.
I agree with Tammi. I think that the most important change in the scientific revolution was that people started to realize that there was actually a world, solar system, and so many other discoveries out there instead of religion.
I think that the most important change made during the scientific revolution was the overall effect it had to europe. They discovered so many things tat helped them advanced in ideas and theories.
I believe that the most important change during the Scientific revolution was how it caused a negative effect on Religion because people started to question the church and base new ideas with out Religion and I agree with what Tami said
I agree with everyone who said that the most important change made during the scientific revolution was the way that people were thinking. Not only did the scientific revolution make a lot of new inventions and contributions to the scientific community, but it encouraged people to think outside of the norm and the box.
SCIENTIFIC REVOLUTION LEAD TO NEW SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES AND THOUGHTS WHAT????????? no really?....(SARCASM...) ok, if you don't have an answer, look something up before you say anything....
anyways...i would like to believe that the most important part of the scientific revolution would be the medical advancements made becuase it was able to help so many people.
Tamara said the thing I wanted to say. People started to think and develop the idea that everything had to be proven for it to be right. Er, reason over religion, like she said.
LOL @ Jeremy about calculus. I think the invention of math in general was a huge mistake. Just kidding. D=
Also, the technological advances were pretty sweet. Helped a lot of people out, yeah?
I believe the most historical change in the scientific revolution was the development of new idea on the meanings of things and the ability for people to have a choice on how something happens. another big thing that the revolution did was weaken the church because there was more choice in the world
i believe that the biggest and most significant idea about the scientific revolution was the fact that new ideas were spreading and that people wanted to know more about what was around them. Also the fact that the old beliefs about how life was presented by those who were before them was changing with new ideas about the universe that completely proved the old scientists wrong.
I am agree with tammy because there wasnt no significant idea about the scientific revolution that made much of an impact as the thought of new ideas and how things in life really were.

ReplyDeletei have to agree with brandi and tami, figuring out the solar system and stuff changed the world and how people thought about things.
ReplyDeleteReplacing religion is in my opinion the greatest discovery because it explained many things people thought that an unexplainable force
ReplyDeleteControled..
It changed the way people viewed religion and other things.
ReplyDeleteI think the most important change was talking about how the sun is the center of the solar system and not the earth
ReplyDeleteAnd i agree with Tamara with people replacing religion with reason for the first time
I agree with Bryson because it did have a lot to do with the sun and it's position.
