Humanism was an influence on religious reformers such as martin luther because for Luther humanism meant returning to the study of the bible inorder to educate the people of the truths of God.
I agree with Fatima. Without the bible people wouldn't be as educated about christian lifestyle and how Christians should act. Luther helped to spread these ideas throughout Europe. Many people got behind him and the bible was translated into many languages so that people could understand christianity as a whole. Without Luther, many people probably wouldn't have followed Christianity and Christian beliefs wouldn't be as strong as they are today.

Humanism had an effect on John Calvin also. He believed that God was the ruler of all things. Calvin and several other theologians founded Calvinism which was based on John Calvin's beliefs.
